    "The quarterback will be a force to contend with in this league," Marshall defensive coordinator Chuck Heater said of Williams. "But you know freshmen and how fast that happens. We have to make sure it doesn't happen on Saturday. We have a lot of respect for him."

    Williams was a highly-touted recruit for ODU head coach Bobby Wilder and was expected at the beginning of the year to red-shirt.

    However, inconsistencies at the position prompted Wilder to go with the young gun and allow him to work through some of his mistakes, which was been seen in the first few games he's played.
