  • I actually think playing a tougher schedule has disallowed us to see how bad we really are. I can think of a BUNCH of FCS schools I would be afraid to play right now.

  • If all else isn't depressing enough, Houston has only had the ball for a little over 13 minutes.

    From ought-three
I felt like AJ should have started last year. I didn't feel like he should have started this year. He has better physical tools, but he plays pretty scatter-brained. It's not totally his fault, though. Michael Vick couldn't succeed in this offense with this line and with this OC.

I said starting with Rice was going to be a case of confirmation bias. People who suspected AJ was better got to see him play against two weak defenses. Many teams allowing 23 points per game would not be very good, but Houston can outscore people.

    My reply:

Plays scatter-brained?!?!?!..... What games have you been watching??  I hate to call someone out, but your post is MUCH more scatter-brained than ANY of AJ's play, this year or Last.  He looks today just like he looked vs So Miss last year before he got hurt......

  • Rank us somewhere between 100-110 in the country.  Close to the bottom 10.  We are light years away from being a top 50 team.  Once Curry is gone we might not win a game next year.  He won us our games this year.

  • Bill L has been an OC at two other D1 schools.....learning isn't his issue!

Yeah, you labeled Kueck a "brilliant offense mind" too - before he shipped out for the HS ranks.

Style points my @ss .. I hope we can come up with a team that can up it up on these pukes next time in.

The boos that rang out at the Joan at the Rice game ... proves our fan base is not as dumb as the this "coaching staff" thinks.

  • Well, after the bonehead call to end the half, I said I'd be happy if we kept within 35 . . . .  Okay . . . officially not happy now.

To say I'm not happy would be an understatement.  But, on the other hand, a part of me quit caring a long time ago.  And THAT is what I REALLY hate.

. . . OH, thank goodness.  Switch to ND game.  Saves us some of the pain of seeing the rest.

Playing a tougher schedule has only served to provide excuses to those that were certain that was the biggest reason for our performances and record.

I am convinced that whoever is making the coaching decisions is inept and unable to make change.....period!

Kueck was . . . and IS a brilliant offense mind.  Anyone with any insight KNOWS that his hands were tied by Snyder.  Larry stepped down to coach high school for several reasons---and good ones too.  But it wasn't because of his lack of abilities.  Snyder sandbagged what Larry could have done here.  Sorry most folks don't realize that.

I'd love to have LK with this offensive talent...... Particularly with Pruett to keep his nomenclature simple enough for the players to relate to

  • Houston has a terrible defense.  Their secondary is awful.

If theirs is terrible, what is ours for allowing 63?
