  • Please Mako- Give a rest. I admit I hate vpi because of my WVU loyalties but you are extremist too. And against a school that gave you an education to be what you are today to boot. :o

  • i think it's pretty obvious which side he would choose if push comes to shove.

    Quote
The PSU and VPI series was a series being worked on with those schools

translation...wvu had contacted them.  psu blew them off for temple and tech was thinking about it.

    Quote
in alternate years not BOTH every year. Say PSU in 07, VPI in 08 and 09 then PSU in 10 and 11, as an example.Thats what I read.Yes, it was posted by " Informed" posters.

so they should be booking it any day now to begin in 2008 right?

psu was fully booked in 2007 based on a 3/1/2005 article on their official website.  (i know those damn facts)

so, i guess that leaves us starting with tech in 2007?  whatever.

bottom line, if these series talks had any merit to them at all, they'd be starting in 2008 or 2009.  don't see them.  i'm sure psu is done.

all this talk was just wvu hopes and dreams.

if you are lucky, tech might book you if they feel sorry for you for leaving you behind.  if not, you're back to square one.

miss state is the best series fast eddie has worked recently.  as i said, the WV taxpayers spent 1.2 million in a law suit to get you FSU (alot of money for a sodomization), the Big East might use it's leverage to get you Notre Dame, and Governor Manchin got you Marshall.

wake up buff.  those informed posters over there are in contact with the same folks who have said they can't make money on the MU series and that it won't get a sniff by espn.  if they are informed by an administration with a history of lies...then how informed are they?

  • In no way am I trying to purport myself to be informed on anything. I might get wet before, I get out of the rain, so to speak. However, one thing I do know, is I study these boards, and AD negotiations, and University alliances, and conference interactions, etc., and I mean daily. I can say beyond any shadow of doubt, that if WVU had 7 openings left on their schedule, Penn State would not be interested in scheduling them. WVU, did in fact did contact PSU, and simply put, were told that they were in the process of negotiating a new contract with Syracuse. Within two months they, PSU, announced they had scheduled a new series with Syracuse.

ps. I will say this again as well, there is a whole lot closer relationship between the C-USA, and B/E commissioners than anyone would ever believe. This may end up being one of the greatest surprises in all of college athletics ever.

Be Happy, We all have a lot goin on good!

  • I would just like to chum in and say that I hate the Hickville Couch Burning Mountain Queers!

However, I'm one of those fans that regularly attend alot of away games and found VPI fans to rank one half step above the Mountain Queers! My group was heckled the entire game and all the way out to the parking lot... Not your typical yacking either... It was aweful! I finally had to get vocal to make one fan shut up... Lucky for me that I didn't go to jail, again! That day changed my perception of VPI and I will always root against them (except when they play the queers). Just my 2 cents!

  • I in no way shape or from am trying to say "look our schedule is better."

All I am saying is that when I look at a BCS conference team's schedule (WVU) and see that they have to play USF, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and really only play one legitimate Top 10 BCS finisher in Louisville, I realize that the Big East is 100% correct they need to beef up the OOC schedule.  Why not schedule Marshall without the governors so called "interference." It makes $$$$ sense, and with the must play loser programs on your conference schedule, to have any legit shot at a Nat'l Championship WVU needs to schedule 2 juggarnauts (FSU & U Pick'em), and one 50/50 game (Maryland), along with Marshall. Good luck, and mark it down, in 2007 the BCS will elect to pick the top BCS finisher from CUSA, Mountain West and Big East to represent the 6th automatic bid.

  • Texas- I wasn't going to call you out, its a thing Mako and I have had going LOL. Goes back to the Confederate Flag thing over a cancelled bowl game.  :o

However, you were with one of them. I could take you to the Blue Lot Tailgate and you would have a different opinion of WVU fans too. Ive seen visiting fans given food and drink and conversation in the best tradition of Mountain Hospitality. Im sure vpi has those fans too. Personally, Ive never met better fans than at Georgia this year. They offered food/drink and directions, complimented the Herd etc....... and the ladies - wow thats another story for another LONG THREAD :x

  • Saying you cheer for both Marshall and USPAM is about like saying you cheered for both Luke Skywalker and the Emperor.  Ya gotta choose sides and you have made it abundantly clear that you have chosen the dark side of the force.  Now, go on back to Vermin's board where you will find sympathy for your nonsense.   :?

  • Maybe I'm wrong for assuming that Mako didn't have his degree given to him by the scum up north, but probably paid handsomely. Also, if our legislature wasn't filled with so much hatred, maybe, just maybe, he could have gotten his degree from Marshall. Equal funding per student and Marshall could offer allot more to allot more students!

I'll be happy when we spank those sorry chicken feathered, coonskin wearing fairies.

  • Dead on Dixie.  My choices were to go to Morganhole for 3 years or pay out of state tuition somewhere else.  Given that I was paying for it myself, it wasn't a tough decision.  But, I still hate the SOB's and they've never gotten one red cent from me since I graduated and until this is a home and home series, they never will get one red cent from me.

Alma, Our Alma Mater, the home of Mountaineers
Home, home of the mountainsteer, where the nutless rednecks live, give us a home, where no buffalo roam, cause we all know we're better than them!

Good gosh, someone erase that crap before I puke!  I'd rather have someone break my nose and shove dead rats down my throat than to tolerate seeing that crap on our boards!

Sing to "home on the range"

OK, now I'm upset, Macbuff, just try please to get along and don't post that chickencrap where I can see it. I mean, I never go over the nutless boards and look for it, so why are you like so many in this state trying to shovel that crap down my throat. I won't take it and it just makes me hate them that much more!
