Ha, ha.

Sounds like he had a nice Spring, but he was still probably gonna be 4th on the depth chart. No reason to stay in that case, especially with Long being the most likely QB of the future.
-
QB of the future...I don't think you can plan that way anymore. You have to assume every player on your roster is only gonna be here 1 season.
-
Ha, ha.
Sober up or better yet, why don't you hang out on a pountie board?
What a poster name!
Lord Haw-Haw ... Lord Haw-Haw was a nickname applied to William Joyce and several other people who broadcast Nazi propaganda to the United Kingdom from Germany during WW2.

What happened to a QB battle?
-
Oh, well, at least we'll always have the bowl game pick six memories...
-
This one doesn't hurt as much as some others.
I have to believe most of these post spring game transfers are the result of meeting with the coaching staff and the coaching staff telling the player what the opportunity looks like for playing time.
-
If players do well in spring games they use the film for the portal. Spring game is bench warmers Super Bowl.
-
Bench warmers super bowl. I really like that.

I doubt any coaches out there are looking at spring game films. All QBs look quality when they cannot be hit.

Coaches 100% use Spring Game film. It's more valuable for non-QBs than QBs for the reason you mentioned but they definitely use it as part of the broader evaluation process. Coaches and scouts use guys throwing on and against air to evaluate players so of course they would use Spring game film. Obviously, actual game tape is much more valuable but Spring game film can be very valuable to players in the transfer portal world of today.

So are some of you saying that Marshall releases football films to payers and opposing teams? Why would Marshall give film they own to a player or another school? I realize schools sometime use to trade game films in the old days.

Players who are transferring or preparing for the NFL draft can request practice or spring game film. The school doesn't have to give it to them, but most schools including Marshall do. Twitter is filled with guys who had very little game film posting practice/spring film on their timelines and tagging other schools looking for a new home.
Heck many of the bigger programs televise their spring games so it really shouldn't be that shocking.

He does say "...while exploring all options." ???
A UNC B'ball player portalled and then decided to stay.
-
I like Parachek, but I don't think we wait around while he "explores all options".
We have to continue to look. Braxton doesn't have what it takes to run this offense. I have major questions on Pennington. Griffis is a very undersized QB. There are still quality QBs in the portal.
