Yes or No ?
-
Yes - late
-
I also say yes in late rounds. Someone will value his skillset despite the injury risk and take a late round flier.
-
5th round. NY Giants.
-
Agree - late round
-
If he was not injured definitely a mid round pick. Now that he?s injured possible late rounder.
Whoever takes him gets a steal. I hope it?s the Broncos.
-
He is a talent that without injuries would have been gone by round 3. I believe he will likely go in round 5 or 6. If not he will sign FA contract.
-
No. But he'll sign a free agent deal soon after the draft. He'll have a choice of teams to sign with. jmo
-
Undrafted FA.
A guaranteed invite to training camp.
-
I'm going to say Yes, but I thought that last year for Khalan Laborn and that didnt' happen.
Who do you think is the better back between the two?
-

A healthy Ali is a better all round back.
-
7th round - Browns
-
Undrafted FA.

I tend to agree
-
I don?t think he gets drafted. Due to his inability to stay healthy, which is a shame because he is a great rb. But he will get his shot and if he stays healthy will be a steal for whoever gets him.
-
Not drafted. FA signing but have my doubts if he makes and/or sticks with a team.
Possibly the strangest career at MU I can remember.
-
The NFL knows he had 40 carries per game, here. Run into the ground because we had no other source of offense. He tore his bicep. That's a freak injury for a job where you expect knees and back to be the issue. I think if someone takes a chance on him it will be because they understand we over-utilized him and while he's a workhorse, they won't need to do that.
His acceleration and top speed are worth a paycheck all by themselves. It's a kid that reaches second level and goes to the house, every singe time.
-
Ends up in NFC East
-
Laborn

Laborn was the better back. Ali was injury plagued and the bowl game told me alot about him.
Laborn carried the 2022 team on his back with one of the worse OL in recent memory. His performance in the ND game was epic.
Ali will be an undrafted FA.

I doubt the NFL knows he had 40 carries per game cause that?s not true
-
To the XFL.

Look up the word hyperbole. Then go to an urban dictionary site and look up gfy.
-
Will he be sitting out the second half of the NFL Draft? LOL
-
Yes, 3rd day selection. Ali has skills that translate well into the NFL. He has good speed, vision and he can catch the ball out of the backfield. Let's remember that most players that are drafted will become role players. I could see Ali getting drafted for his kickoff return skills and a team could see him eventually transition into a 3rd down back role.
-
If he hadn?t had the biceps injury at Sr bowl he?s drafted mid rounds. He goes late bc he is now considered a value draft pick. A true steal pick.
-

Your harsh words are hurtful but that being said ..
Name the games in which he had 40 carries as you claim
Waiting .. 🤔

Ok my fault ? I looked up that word hyperbole.. so you were just posting exaggerated and crazy stuff not meant to contain any facts .. well next time could you include a disclaimer with your posts.
Like .. what I am posting has no factual content .. I am just making stuff up to sound believable .. that ought to do it.

No. CFL or UFL prospect.

Wow, ....we will see.
-
I think he has an path similar to Brashaw. Late pick but hangs on because he can return kicks (remember him as a freshman?). From there, you just have to see. A lot is timing.
-

We'll how the quitter does, won't we.
-
Well into round 2 and NO RBs selected.. have to go back 10 years to find something similar. Does not bode well ? he is as ranked as 15th best
-
Rb have to start coming off. Does Micah Abraham get drafted?
-
I'm gonna say Ali is picked in round 6 by the Chiefs.
-

In what round, though?
Although the on field responsibilities of a NFL RB is arguably the most varied of the positions except QB, the supply & demand curve devalues their worth both in draft position and in pay.

Hmmmm.. never thought about it .. let me investigate.. lots of CBs been drafted thus far I think
-

I will predict that Abraham does indeed get drafted .. Ali looks unlikely. Could Owen Porter learn to long snap ?
-
YEs.....to Baltimore in the fifth.
-
5th round. NY Giants.
I predicted Ali at 166 to the NYG and he went 165 to the Ravens. So close....and I hate the Ravens 🙄
-
I have said for a long time that Ali would be drafted.. he's much better than many on this board want to recognize for whatever reason. Baltimore could be a good spot for him.

If Ali would have played in the SEC (and he had the talent to), he'd have been one of the first 3 or 4 RB's taken.
-
2 yrs ago if he could have been drafted would have.
-
Good for him. Hope he can stay healthy.
-
Always great to see an MU player drafted. I hope he makes the best of his opportunity.
This should prove to future players, if you have the talent, the NFL will find you. No reason to feel the need to always transfer up to P5. Stay at a small school and stand out from the crowd. The NFL will come knockin'.

They aren't transferring to get recognition. They are transferring because that's where the money is. If anything kids transfer down, where they can start, for recognition. They'll get seen more starting here and have actual game stats than they would as a 3rd stringer at Alabama.

And then after they get paid for one year as a 3rd teamer and the coach at the P5 school brings in another player(s) at that position the ex-herd player transfers again. Hence the reason we see threads here about players transferring from Marshall to another school only to see them transfer a third or fourth time at the end of the season.
Most of the transfering players realize that if they want to get paid to play football this may be their only opportunity.
