i don't know if MU is debt free now or not.  are we spending within budgets?  i didn't expect MU to be near the top in those lists.  anyway, i respect those schools who are at the bottom of these lists but who are at the mid-to-top of the winner's lists.  we're not bad but we're not great either.  i get a sense everybody/Herd/AD is looking and going in the right direction, things seem to be relatively solid

We have 2 more visitors set for early this coming week.   Wednesday starts the dead period, so it's hopeful we can get a commitment early on this week.   Go Herd.

Martin
Obinna
Dawson
Speer
Gibbs
Gibbs
Fricks
Nutter
Moore
Harding

Pruett
Braun

So we have one more scholarship to give. Just from the videos we now have a PG (yay) and think we are more athletic than we were last year especially at the guard and three (which isn't saying much with last year's team). We do not have much depth or experience at the C/F if Obinna or Martin get hurt or foul trouble, but our size wasn't useful last year either.

Think Moore will push for rotational time and be the dark horse for us.

Optimistic for next year, but LOVE that Corny and group is actually out recruiting and trying to improve the team (way too much over the years of not wanting to over recruit to not hurt feelings).

Hopefully our S&C program will be utilized by Corny and we see some built (ex: Fricks, Nutter, Pruett) and not just being able to do a 5K.

Great post and very accurate.

What does this poorly structured post (paragraphs are your friend) of drivel have to do with Marshall spending compared to the rest of the Sun Belt in sports?

Anyways, hoping Corny will be able to use the resources better than Dan for basketball.
Hopefully Smith and Spears have their short list for football coaches come November. Look for coaches with staff at the FCS level.

i'd also take the 'best available' if he happened to be an 6-6 tp 6-8 athlete who can matchup well with about anybody in the SBC on both ends

We need another good quick scoring guard more than anything. That was proven last year. You need a couple bigs which we have but it's a guard driven game. Guards that can put it on the floor and create shots for themselves and others. Also that can defend out front.

Interesting possibility.

I was reading different fan theory possibilities on the realignment board that it could replace the RSN model. Where Charleston-Huntington market would have on the Marshall ESPN+ game on our CW but the Atlanta CW would have on the Georgia State game. Might defeat the purpose of buying ESPN+ though. Unless CW is paying more than what subscriber fees would be.

Probably will just end up being the best game possible for every market.
