Hope we have a cupcake scheduled in between the two. We have the opportunity to be the Big Ten Champs in 2028. lol

We play Ohio in 2028 not tOSU.
We play central Connecticut state as well.
Still have one opening.
-
Outside our normal recruiting area but I like it. Opportunity for national attention if we win.

Think the confusion was when they said we also play Ohio St this year. Think he took it to mean that year. Ohio St, Penn State, and then Wisconsin every other year is a pretty nice setup. All in the fall when the temps are nice, too. Penn St notoriously loses these kinds of games. Ohio St often keeps teams too close till late, and Wisconsin isn't much of a power team in the last decade or two. Good chance to get one of them.

Marshall also has upcoming games with Big Ten teams at Ohio State this year and at Penn State in 2026. The Ohio State game is scheduled for Sept. 21.
Yea, I misread the article. OSU this year.

I'd say our pay day from all three combined will be close to 5 Mil.

Almost as bad as Pruetts @
Ohio State
Georgia
Should have won both
- I don?t think bradshaw played against UGA / lowest point total scored at home by UGA in Richt era
We were good then & OSU & UGA we?re loaded with great nfl players
-
Nice playing top name schools. Being at ND with my son is a lifetime top memory.

True we played them very close but it loses steam when you look at who we lost to that year. Maybe they just didn't taken MU seriously enough

The 2004 team was very talented with high expectations, turned dysfunctional the last half of year and we tanked. Beginning of the past 20 years of only a few great moments ....90s and early 00s too many great ones to list

to be honest i wish we could move either of this year's VT or OS games to 2025. i know that's just how it worked out with VT and there's not as much money involved but one each year from any of 'those' conferences is enough. of course, the 'right' Herd team can beat any of them but i'd hate to go 10-2 or 11-1 when we might have been able to go 12-0. this fan base really needs and deserves the later again. the final slot in 2027 could be interesting but i imagine it'll be a FCS team. should probably get a CUSA or AAC for 2028

Spears has his work cut out for him filling the OOC for 2025. I assume an FCS team will fill out the 2026 OOC.
-
I'd say Spears has his work cut out for him for all football scheduling, there are a lot of current VOIDs, and I'd venture that most of the teams we'd like to have come into the Joan are already scheduled. I'm a bit tired of the FCS games, let's tee it up and make an impact from the beginning.
-
We likely have 3 openings for 2025 with the Army series probably getting canceled. Better have some news on that soon because playing 2 FCS in a season again would be unacceptable.
