  • I know most will not shed a tear to see Litton declared for the draft today but that leaves MU in a precarious position. I am assuming Xavier Gaines is next in line but I have heard very little about how he has looked during his time here. Can anyone elaborate on plans at the position now. Recruits....current players? Alot of talent that need someone to get them the ball.

Well Gaines is out of the Mix at QB he's a Tight end now and by all accounts, it seems the heir apparent to the open job is Isiah Green who was redshirted this year and will enter Spring as the new #1 without having a single game snap under his belt.

  • you do have Garet Morrell who has playing time and started against Louisville.  He RS'd last year and will be a Jr in 2018.

  • I know we are in the mix for former Texas QB Kai Locksley, I would assume there will be a push to sign some JUCO QB now

  • I hope Chase is successful at the next level. That would be great for Marshall to have another skill level player.

I would have thought he would have been better off playing another year, but he is an old Junior. Unlike Cato, Byron, or Chad, I don't think anyone was really excited about his senior season. We were all hoping for improvement...which is not what you hope for in a four year starter.

He has great measurables, but will have to show something he hasn't shown at Marshall to hang on to a roster spot in the NFL.

On the flip side, there has long been rumors of Morrell leaving. He might rethink that.  With Green we should have a good start. I am sure we'll sing a QB and maybe a JUCO.

Locksley evidently had a great year at the Iowa JC. (40 TDs- 20 pass/20 run)  looks like he is back on the recruiting market, making visits and getting offers elsewhere.
