In the article, Dillon scored 20 points and another MC player is credited with 14 points in the lopsided loss to FS.

Here's another article on the game:

"We were excited to play against them, very excited," FSHS coach David Retton told the Times West Virginian (Fairmont newspaper). "They have an outstanding team and a Division I player in (Jeremy) Dillon. He is so smooth. He can shoot it, he can put it on the floor and he's just an outstanding player."

A good night for MC and Dillon who led his team with 26 points, six rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

As I’ve said before, he does everything for his team. He’s not just a scorer.

Cam Brooks-Harris suffered a hip injury tonight when he went up to block a shot against Wheeling Park. He had 8 points when he left the game in the first half.

Big loss for Zanesville as he was their leading scorer at 22 ppg.

  • In a new article, the writer said Dillon was "ailing", which may explain his low scoring output recently. And Cam suffered a left hip injury in his last game against Wheeling Park. Hopefully both players will recover soon.

Brooks-Harris, who added nine rebounds and four assists, had a 3 and a three-point play in the third to go along with a nice assist to Curry for a layup and a tip-in before the third-quarter horn.

Cameron Brooks-Harris scored a game-high 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting for Zanesville, which remained unbeaten against Division II and III teams. Aronde Myers and Cobe Curry, who hit a pair of first-quarter 3-pointers, added 17 points each.

I almost feel like I should be adding Van Horn to this thread.

BTW, Van Horn paces Fairland's 69-48 win vs. Portsmouth

    Quote
Van Horn, a 6-foot-8 center, was dominant, making 9 of 13 shots, dominating the boards and playing intimidating, shot-altering defense. Van Horn hit jumpers from the outside, scored near the block, drove to the basket and at 2:55 of the first quarter sailed through the lane for a dunk that charged up the crowd.

"He keeps getting better," Speed said of Van Horn. "He has his confidence going and he's comfortable anywhere on the floor."

  • Bop, did not know about the Van Horn kid!  Thanks!!  A local and sounds a lot like that he is not your "average" run of mill walk on.  At 6'8" he certainly has size.  Potential to develop and with a lot of people leaving after next season, sounds like he could work his way into winning a scholarship!!

Danny is somewhat concerned about his lack of mobility. But, we had success with Loop who was similarly slow.
If he has any type of shot at all, Danny and Mark will develop it

I agree with DDs concern , he plays a little stiff . I think if he gets in better shape it might help him . Hes not that out of shape now but college ball shape and HS shape are two completely different things.

  • Van Horn played extremely well in the Flying to the Hoop Classic in Dayton, one of the two best high school tournaments in the  nation. He scored 31 against Lebron's high school in Akron and No1 in the state. Would love to have him walk on at MU but feel sure he will have scholarship offers before the season ends.
