    Flipping the tables, is Marshall going to be able to run on the Roadrunners, who also are one of the league’s best run-cloggers? UTSA has held four teams to 100 or fewer yards, including two of those to whom they lost nail-biters.

    That defense is strong from front to back, but end Marcus Davenport is the big name. He is second in the league in tackles for loss (14.5) and sacks (7.5), and is described as a middle-round NFL draft pick whose size (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) could pull him even higher.

    “He’s probably the best defensive end we’ve seen since [Bradley] Chubb [of North Carolina State],” said offensive coordinator Bill Legg.
