"Nah, I wasn't a track guy in high school," said Brady. "I just worked on my speed when I was little. I just wanted to be great. That was something I worked on. God blessed me with football speed and being able to separate."

Brady noticeably preferred to call it "football speed" rather than "track speed."

"Yeah," he acknowledged with a laugh.

So, has the speedster ever been timed at any distances? The 100-meter run, perhaps, or 200-meter run?

"Uh, no," replied Brady.

OK, then how about the preferred football measurement of speed - the 40-yard dash?

"Yeah, I've been clocked in the 40 before," said Brady with a smile. "My best time is 4.4 (seconds). I got a 4.4 recently."
