  • Just like the call in shows. Any questions deemed to be the slightest negative or critical are not aloud; or magically cut off. LOL!

I know with 110% truth that Doc gives a few questions to a person at the coaches show that he wants asked........

  • Most secretive, easily offended/butthurt, sensitive administration I've ever seen at Marshall.

Soft Coaches...make soft players... make a soft team. We don't face the music, we run from it...which is why no one should expect anything better than 3-9 this year.

According to one of the moderators of HypocriteNation, the administration/coaching staff demanded that he ban a former Marshall player from the site for being too critical. The veracity of that is unknown, as the moderator has a tendency to be dishonest with some of his comments. If true, it's a bad sign.

  • I doubt a website was asked to ban someone and if it happened then the website has no credibility.  These sites are for fans to discuss the teams and our thoughts...the great thing now is that as fans we are in a win win situation...Doc turns it around and we get back to our winning ways...he loses and a change will be made...not much grey area regarding this season.

Any possible inkling as to whom the potential "banee" could be??

True story about Herd Nation: years ago, under previous ownership, I posted a comment that was critical of IMG.  It wasn't just the typical "the scoreboard's too loud," it was some pretty real stuff about the way they did business at the time.  I'm not a total idiot, so I made sure to avoid disclosing anything that would make it obvious who I was, but IMG managed to find out, presumably because the site disclosed my personal information.  A former IMG employee who is no longer at Marshall contacted my boss and made the case that I be fired (I wasn't).

The moral of the story is that you have to be wary of the fact that there are relationships between the folks who run these boards and the people who work in the athletic department.  It's not necessarily nefarious - the site moderators have to have these relationships in order to generate the content they put up on their boards, and the AD/IMG employees are required by their jobs to try to manage relationships with third parties, like the press and message board operators.  Still, never assume you have complete anonymity here, or that Marshall can't find out who you are if they want to.

  • Also, don't do an AMA if you're not going to honor the second "A."

Danny and I had talked about it Tuesday at practice. I was just wondering if they were on the same page.
The decision being delayed is actually Marshall's fault but for good reason. They wanted to submit some of Iran's college class grades with the appeal so they had to wait to get the grades.
All has been submitted now and the wait is on.

If someone could post the answers, that would be appreciated. Interested to see what he said. Some of us don't do Twitter.
