  • Asked Huff in a PM to please not make this selective censorship thing... a thing. It's inherently biased to attempt, and moreover, if the original point of the original post was abandoned by the original poster himself--as in this case--it can not possibly serve any other purpose but to use the admin/mod privilege to impose one's own idea of justice on what ought to be a free market place of ideas/discourse/debate.

And... for what it matters, unless I missed something, I think you missed saving elginherd's post... surely unintentional... hope you can recover that.

  • Wow.... I see that a post making an appeal to "fairness" gets a smite.

    hehehehehe

Dang. That's funny stuff. Says about everything that needs to be said, don't it?

We really don't care about standards and principles or any of that silly talk anymore do we.

I suppose I'll be criticized for being so Pollyanna to think we ever did.

  • Oh. Was that your smite? hehe... figures.

You don't get it, 90. It's not a matter of obsession. (As a card carrying Dem, one would think that fairness is something that would resonate with you. No? Evidently.)

Rather, it's a matter of feeling sorely... okay, even butt-hurt sorely... disappointed. I've always thought highly of the people administering this board. And that's not BS. Still do. One incident doesn't flip that. I recall an occasion last year when I received an explicit apology just made me that much more convinced that the confidence was well-placed.

Look, it's this simple, and disparage me if you want. I try to be fair to others, even if I disagree with them... heck, even if I disrespect them for that matter. I don't feel attempts at fairness are a terribly high standard. And no, whether it's me or you or any other person on this board, including some fairly outspoken antagonists, it's not okay for a person with the keys to the board to put up something that is disparaging in tone. It's just not.

Crucify me as being overly sensitive now, but when it happens to you, maybe then I'll listen.

You're the one that doesn't get it man. And it won't happen to him or anyone else because you're the only one on this whole board who does this stuff.

  • "Does this stuff."

    Oh stop.

This is getting monotonous and you couldn't be more full of crap.

The timestamps and posts (unless a mod decides to totally delete them) defy your premise.

I spent one paragraph off-topic, and even returned to the topic in that same post... in fact, tried to return to the topic multiple times.... but/and then you and your kind descended like crows to keep it off-topic, and re-focused on the personal attack stuff. Stuff? That's YOU "doing this stuff."

Can't flip this script b/c it's there for anyone to see. (Though, of course, they have to actually want to see it, and you might just have me on that one.)

  • That moment when the jury gasps at the defendant acting as his own counsel, who just decided "oops... I got nothin," and tries to con his way to acquittal.

  • please: ------------- isn't there any way that I can get rid of the threads from Sturt.?????????????????
I used to have him blocked. Now he is everywhere wasting my valuable time...
I am starting to think WAY WAY less of this "once great" board as he dominates with long-winded useless trash.

Like a few of our coaches, he is dragging us down.
    Go HERD!!!

  • Should be mandatory to lock any thread where he posts 5000 words in back to back posts because it's going to lead to this.  I guess he just couldn't stand that Banker, one of the guys on his voodoo doll list, put a lot of thought into his letter and said what many of us were thinking and it struck a chord with posters.  So, naturally, he tries to wrestle the attention back.

And stop f-ing PMing me.  I don't read it.  I just delete it.  There is nothing I need to say to you behind the scenes and damn sure don't need to read anything from you.  You aren't clever, you aren't liked, and you drag the flow of the board down where no one wants to even open a thread you've posted in.

My grandmother was a notorious worry-wort.   No matter what we said we were going out to do, she would point out how dangerous it was or tell us some story about someone who was hurt, killed, jailed, whatever for doing something similar, like riding a gocart etc.  She would shotgun these worries out in such a fashion that there were literally hundreds of them.  Odds are something would happen over the course of the years and she would say "See, I was right, you shouldn't have done that, I told you so."  Never mind that 500 other things went perfectly well with nothing but a positive experience gained.  Never said "gosh, I was wrong 500 times."

Sturt you're like that.  And you hang on to your 1 in 500 times being right like a grudge and save it to repost years later.  It annoys people.  We make comments in discussions and then move on.  We don't strive to be exactly, semantically correct.  I don't care usually past the moment I write something.  It's a freaking internet discussion board.  Nothing hangs in the balance.  No decisions are made from what we write and no Pulitzer prizes are given out for content.  There is no "best fan" award, there is no "most knowledgeable" fan award.  It's just a place to hang out and talk about something we all have in common and you screw it up for a lot of people, not all, but a LOT.

I don't know anyone else on here that has this inherent need to be vindicated for every single comment they make.  Half the stuff I write is just to get a rise out of people in one way or another.  I don't even look to see the reaction or whether they agree or don't.  I don't take it seriously because it's a freaking internet discussion board. If I see a thread grows really large I might check back in to see what direction the monster took, but that's it.  I've already moved on and so has the world.  Sometimes, many times, the big thread is 10-20 posts by you talking to yourself and no one can continue any meaningful discussion within that thread because you can't let it go that people either 1) ignore you or 2) write a 3 word retort that is usually calling you something or pointing out that you're at it again.

A moderator cleaned up most of your nonsense and then you filled it again.

    Just stop.  Just %^&* stop.

Worrying about smites, are we? Of course you’d never accost others for noticing feedback, would you?

And such whining and feeling so sorry for yourself when others respond to your obnoxiousness.

You know I’d actually feel sorry for you and your whining…if you weren’t such an out and out a-hole.
