You don't have to stay if the field when you have a concussion, I've never heard of that.  IMHO they is another reason he was not on the sidelines for Louisville.

We soccer officials take concussion protocol classes as part of our job, and I can tell you emphatically that if a player is recovering from a concussion, one of the things they are directed to avoid is bright lights, loud noises and visual stimulation.  I don't have first hand knowledge, but I'd be shocked if Chase wasn't DIRECTED to not come to the Louisville game.

He came back to practice the very first day he could after that game.  I'm still convinced there was more to it.  Even Doc said, "yes, there we have an issue with Chase last week".  He never said he had a concussion or a medical issue. (I could be wrong about the Doc comment, but I've referenced it the way I heard it on his Tuesday conference the following week.

Heck if I were the Charlotte fans I too would be celebrating.  In fact I would be ecstatic.  They outplayed us, out coached us and just down right wanted the game more than I our team did.  Congrats to coach Lambert.  In a couple of years I believe they will be a team to be reckoned with.

Does it seem several of America's powerhouse schools seem 'down' ??

I didn't say Charlotte was a great team.  I congratulated them on a nice win for their program.  They played rings around our ballyhooed recruits and Lambert and his staff did an excellent job.  Yes I would be excited if I were them.

There's a big time difference with the powerhouse schools that are down, there're all getting beat by ranked or top 40 teams! We're getting beat by the bottom worse teams in FBS football. As it stands now, we would struggle and get beat against good 1AA teams. Hard to believe, we have fallen this far.
