New decal this year for the Herd helmets.

Gone but certainly not forgotten.

Thunders, I'm sure if you contact Andy Ussery, at www.myteamspirit.com, he'll be all over it. He seems like he enjoys making special project helmets like that. Just a thought.

Athletic Decal would make you one, maybe, but it'd be expensive.

You could buy a some good adhesive, photo-quality, weatherproof paper at Office Depot or someplace similar and print them yourself.

I have a mini helmet with the 71 logo on it but this looks like a smaller sticker that they put on the backs of helmets as a commemorative type thing. Kind of like they did the fountains that one year on the helmet.

How about using these helments for the ECU game since we are coming up on Nov. 14, and it just happens to be ECU we are playing.

Word on the street says it's just a small decal, similar to the memorial fountain decal worn last year during the same week in November.

I don't remember anything being said last year about the fountain decals. This is the 1st time I've heard about that. Anyone have a picture?

It was the 2005 home game against ECU, not the '06 game as I wrote earlier.

The helmet decal in '05 pictured the memorial fountain super-imposed over the 11-14-70 date.
