  • New decal this year for the Herd helmets.

    Gone but certainly not forgotten.

    Hope this link works:

  • Thunders, I'm sure if you contact Andy Ussery, at www.myteamspirit.com, he'll be all over it.  He seems like he enjoys making special project helmets like that.  Just a thought.

  • Athletic Decal would make you one, maybe, but it'd be expensive.

You could buy a some good adhesive, photo-quality, weatherproof paper at Office Depot or someplace similar and print them yourself.

I have a mini helmet with the 71 logo on it but this looks like a smaller sticker that they put on the backs of helmets as a commemorative type thing. Kind of like they did the fountains that one year on the helmet.

  •   How about using these helments for the ECU game since we are coming up on Nov. 14, and it just happens to be ECU we are playing.

  • Word on the street says it's just a small decal, similar to the memorial fountain decal worn last year during the same week in November.

  • I don't remember anything being said last year about the fountain decals.  This is the 1st time I've heard  about that. Anyone have a picture?

  • It was the 2005 home game against ECU, not the '06 game as I wrote earlier.

The helmet decal in '05 pictured the memorial fountain super-imposed over the 11-14-70 date.

Here is a link to a pre-game story from the '05 game:
