Agree with the notion of "complacency". Program seems to have become "static", if not "stale" in certain aspects.
Seems unusual, perhaps, that in 8 years the program hasn't had much turnover in its staff. Normally if one is at an uber successful program, UK, Gonzaga, etc. you would expect some movement on the staffs. There, of course, coaches tend to leave because they are in demand for HC openings at other big programs, or at other programs trying to upgrade.
Now if Danny's team was perennially achieving success at a level where we are in the NCAA and/or NIT pretty regularly, and if Rigot, Cline, etc., were landing 4 star or better recruits in nearly every class, don't you all think that some of these coaches would have gone elsewhere by now? Sadly, as the result of last night's game versus a team of "Camels" shows, that stuff just "ain't" happening at MU with this staff!
