The F Marshall chant and what these students did may be students being students but still classless imo.  Especially what they did after the game to our players.  App won and they still gotta be drunk jerks?  I'd be embarrassed if our students did that to any team after a win or a tough loss.

The majority of appy "fans" posting on the message board are not concern about the behavior. Only a few have posted that it was bad. Maybe appy fans need to visit MU to learn manners? The ECU fans know we are hospitable.

Yes without the best players in defense from last year. Hodge and Beckett. That was the last few guys Doc recruited well. Last few years not so much. Not to mention the guys he recruited for the defensive backfield. They can?t guard a chair. And if they do it?s because they are pass interfering. Huff has got to get some talent in here that can cover. Some of you were saying blowout and even in the prediction thread some were saying we would lose 2-3 touchdowns. We went on the road against mighty powerhouse sunbelt Appy St after a short week on the road and lost by one. He is in his fourth game with someone else?s recruits that got shut out at home by Rice 20-0 last year and some are already throwing in the towel on him. I?m sure he won?t forget it once he builds this program into one of the best G5 teams.

Preach it Bust.  Good lord.  App literally shoved Miami all over the place and should have won at Miami.  Now people want to bitch about losing to them on the road with 5 days to prepare by 1 pt.

From the time I arrived in Boone until leaving I heard absolutely not a single word from any ASU fans. The lone exception was while walking to our car a college age girl came by us and yelled F Marshall.
I found it strange that nobody said welcome, enjoy the game, nice game or drive safely to us. Not a word

This one of the things wrong with sports, no rivalries.  Everyone is too sensitive.  In the NBA they are all buddies.  I like that the App fans didn?t roll out the red carpet.  Have passion not be on the chamber of commerce welcoming new residents.

I'm guessing that's the way it is most everywhere and that is one of the reasons everyone loves to come to Marshall and says we are the friendliest fan base ever.

Ummm, could just be, HM, that while West Virginia has enjoyed, or suffered from, having the reputation of being a State full of backward Hillbillies, most Sociologists will verify that the true epicenter of "Appalachian Inbreeding" is northern Georgia and Western North Carolina.  Yeah, and that includes in and around Boone!!

Yeah, I'm sure those fun loving fans of all those NBA bottom feeding teams who have those .280 or .340 winning percentages flock to their games in droves buying those $100, $250, $500 apiece tickets to see "entertaining" and "fun" basketball.  To me "winning" is more fun than "losing", even with some "entertainment" thrown in!

I don?t see much wrong with what their fans are doing.  We have been just as bad on an occasion or two.  But, App better get control of the entrance to the visitor?s locker room before something worse happens.

You summed up my feelings well in a simple statement. We are in a different culture with Marshall sports now, there was a time when a Herd  loss in football bothered me for months. Living in Dayton and losing to Miami lingered all year because of their hatred for us. My late brother and I missed two games, home or away, in many losing seasons in a row because we cared so much. Now a loss is okey, we move on to the next game. I am not saying that is wrong or bad but it is certainly different, the passion we once knew is moving away replaced by message board chatter, and now many locals won?t even attend the games.
