  • It was announced earlier in the summer he was going to a JUCO this year. Now I see he tweeted that he is going to Wabash (IN) College. It is a NCAA Division III school. He is being joined by UNLV and SEMO transfers

  • Interesting destination for someone that got a 0.0 GPA at Marshall.  Wabash is an all male liberal arts school with pretty strong academics.  I suppose if he needs his distractions cut down that might do it.

  • I'm pretty sure it's Wabash Valley JC he's attending. Not the DIII school. It's the same school that Jordyn Dawson and the Congelton girl from Huntington High play.

  • Kid needs to realize hard work in any career path is required. Otherwise not a good result. Hope he gets motivated in something.

Hard work is something kids have a hard time grasping anymore , it's all about the quick fix , I blame the parents . Levi had a great opportunity here at MU , especially since DD had reservations about Levi being on the team.  He was given the chance and he pissed it away , kinda proved DDs original thinking.  Hope he lands somewhere and gets it in gear.

  • Hopefully, he'll get his head straight and priorities in the right order and not end up like another tall basketball phenomenon and "can't miss" player from his neck of the state a couple of decades or so ago!

Does the name "Earl Jones" ring a bell with any of you??

  • You know Earl Jones was a First round pick of the LA Lakers.........A bad knee derailed him. His style would have fit Coach D to a T....

  • Injuries ruined Earl Jones' NBA opportunity. As mentioned previously, Jones was a 1st round draft pick by the Lakers. Jerry West loved the skinny 7-footer.
He also played briefly for the Milwaukee Bucks. It's really a shame he hurt his knee.

  • Around 1995 I was sitting in an airport in Rockford, IL and the CBA team came through the terminal. This is notable because this team had both the often injured Earl Jones and the equally unfortunate Ralph Sampson at the end of their careers.  This was one of those odd memories that I’ll probably remember all my life.

  • I believe Jones blew some opportunities back when he was in HS.  Could have applied himself more and would probably have gotten into some "big time" school/college.  As it were, he was lucky to land at "highly regarded" UDC (University of District of Columbia) which was known then as "last chance" U for students in the Nation's Capital area!!

The group of people under 30 definitely don’t work as hard as past generations and they also expect instant gratification and do not want to put in the work or time to earn it...and as a fair generalization they have a difficult time with criticism..

This is based on hiring people and working with them...
