  • Under Coach Jirsa we won 1 big game every year. I know we didn't win many games, but we did win 5 big ones.
2003-04 - Western Michigan (#1 in the MAC West and favorite to win the MAC Title)
2004-05 - Miami (OH) (#1 in the MAC East and favorite to win the MAC title) and WVU (Top 25 school and eventual NCAA cinderella run)
2005-06 - WVU (Top 10 school and NCAA sweet sixteen team)
2006-07 - Virginia Tech (Top 25 school and NCAA tournament team)

So my question is will we continue our streak of beating at least one team that we aren't supposed to, like Louisville, WVU, Memphis, UAB, or even Houston. I would say Winthrop or Wright St., but then if we win those games no one would notice. If we beat the other 5 above then at least someone will notice.

  • I too would like to win them all.  We usually always beat UAB once each year. I would hope we berat them here. Since we play UH on the road and not home, I would doubt we beat them.

The first time we beat UAB was in Birmingham and we were there to see it.  That was the year they beat Kentucky and advanced to the sweet sixteen.
