The Marshall Thundering Herd will take the volleyball court today at the Cam Henderson Center against the Tulane Green Wave (to determine who will be the top team in Conference USA.Marshall and Tulane held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in preseason rankings for C-USA and are the only teams left undefeated in conference play.Marshall holds a current record of 11-7, while Tulane's record stands at 15-3.Since its 3-1 loss to nationally ranked Pepperdine University, the Herd has yet to lose a match, leaving the squad undefeated in C-USA in the midst of a five-match winning streak.The Green Wave's visit to the Cam Henderson Center is the first of five consecutive home matches for the Herd.Head coach Mitch Jacobs said landing five home games in a row is a rare blessing in scheduling."The team is more relaxed," Jacobs said about the five consecutive home matches.He also said staying at home gives the team an extra practice day to prepare for the next opponent.Kelly-Anne Billingy, senior outside hitter and three-time All-American, said she also is glad to be able to set up shop at the Henderson Center for a few matches and is eager to start with Tulane.
