  • I'm not joking.  He easily could have pulled out a few more W's, but if not for the home crowd/team advantage and a few lucky breaks, he easily could have lost every game the past 2 and a half years.

  • Pretty close.  Easy wins are few and far between when your a horribly coached team.

  • W #1. William & Mary-down 23-24 in 3rd quarter and needed a Couch INT to save the day.

W #2. SMU-Down 10-0 in the fourth and needed Bernie heroics to force OT.

W #3. UAB down again in the fourth and needed Morris heroics and a missed 50 yard FG to win by one point. UAB had two punts blocked on the day.

W #4. Tulane-Down in the fourth and needed a 14 miracle points late in the game to beat a homeless 2-9 Tulane team in Mobile.

    W #5. Hofstra-Down 14-0 in the 1st quarter but rallied to beat a D-AA foe.

W #6. UAB-Lead the entire game but needed a last drive stand to beat a 3-9 UAB team.

    W #7. Memphis-Needed a 80 yrd TD return to stave off a comeback by a 2-10 Memphis team.

w #8. Tulane-Lost a 21-0 lead against a 3-9 Tulane team. A week later Tulane's was blasted by USM and Tulane's coach said something about the team pissing down the leg of its own pants.

W #8. UTEP-Won big over a turnover prone, freefalling UTEP team. Our best win in the Snyder era.

    Notable Loses

    2005
    K-State-No need to rehash.
    UCF-Broke UCF's 10 plus game losing streak.
    UTEP-Lost 35-3.
S.Miss-Failed on a kick to win the game in regulation and on a FG in OT.
ECU-Lead at home most of the day until allowing ECU to run wild. Our 3rd loss at home that year.
    Memphis-Lost 26-3

    2006
    WVU- Lost 42-10
    K-State- Lost 24-7
    Tennessee-Lost 33-7
UCF-Lost on We Are Marshall day to a 3-9 UCF team by missing a XP and allowing UCF to convert a 4th down play.
SMU-Lead until the 4th when the team went into complete meltdown mode.
S.Miss- Lost 42-7 playing for a bowl birth.

    2007
    Miami-Lost 31-3
    WVU-Lost 48-13
New Hampshire-Lost to a mediocre 1-AA team. Our 6 home loss under Snyder; more than the previous 15 years combined.
Cincy-Notable because that was our 14 double digit loss in 27 games under Snyder.
Memphis-Lost to a team that played 3 games in 11 days, suffered the loss of a player and was missing its starting QB.

  • Thanks Young Herdman, that's about the way my memory had it, but I was hoping that I was just being pessimestic.

  • No wonder we're all disgusted.  I tend to remember wins and losses, but not what happens in the games to cause them.

How in the hell does Coach Snyder warrant an extension at any point with
games like those under his belt.

When the extention was offered, he should have had the decency to turn it down based on performance.
