  • I looked in the program to find my name in the Big Green 110% club. This is given to people who increase their donation over previous yrs by 110% and the donation is a $25 increase or more. You know Snyder was on that list. He has been a Big Green supporter since his playing days. So when he was coaching at Youngstown, Minnesota, and Ohio State he was donating money to Marshall. Hmm how about that.
Now not only was I apart of that club so was our own Wolfman. Now their might be someone else here that is in that club and I applaud you.

For the ones not in the Big Green you are part of the problem. The Big Green helps pay for the scholorships that athletes get signed too. So by them doing this it gives each athletic department more money to use on equipment, clothing, recruiting, travel and etc.  So if you can spare 50 dollars that is 6 trips to Mcdonalds in one month. Give it to the Big Green. You will be rewarded with the play of all the athletes on the field. And it is 80% tax deducted. I beleive also if you donate $100 or more they can set up a payment plan to deduct it from your bank account monthly.

  • If you were a minimium donor last year ($25), you instantly
became a member of the 110 club, whether you wanted to or not.

By increasing the minimium donation to the Big Green to $50, they
made it easy to fill the rolls.

(Didn't mind the increase, just didn't like the way it was handled.)

  • I got the little things that say, "110% for 2007" that we can hang in our cars.  I thought that was cool.  They have been doing some neat things at the Big Green.  You know, we need to have a membership drive.  If everyone on the rolls right now would recruit one new person our membership would double.  It is that easy.  I know that eveyrone in the Big Green can come up with one person they know to join.

Concerning your post, anyone who doubts Mark Snyder's commitment to Marshall is brain dead.  The man bleeds green and will work however hard it takes to get us where we all want to be.

  • Good for him.

I'd really hope many of our former players that can afford to donate to the cause.  I'd venture to guess many of them give donations in other ways and it never gets mentioned.

    going from $25 to $50 isn't 110%, only 100% increase.

I thought it was a luggage ID, LOL!
Anyway, I saw our names in the gameday program yesterday!
    How cool is that!

Since we all love to compare apples to oranges it kinda makes you wonder whose blood is greener.... Pruett's or Snyder's.... Because I don't remember seeing Bobby's name in there. You mean to say Pruett couldn't afford to give a donation on his salary before he got to Marshall, yet Snyder was giving a donation even when he was a G.A. not even getting paid ??? Oh my!!!

  • Are you being serious with this? Perhaps you started looking at the $25 donors. You need to look at the beginning where the SLIGHTLY larger donors are listed. If this is sarcasm, I apologize. Usually I am good at detecting sarcasm as I am the one that invented it.

  • Are you being sarcastic? She might have but all of my co workers claim that I did, even a card carrying member of the SmartAss of America club. I'll take it.

  • I really like how you can do the whole thing online now - even splitting up the donation into automatic withdrawals. Sometimes I would leave the envelope lying around and forget about sending in the donation. This way is so convenient!

  • I posted this to prove that he loves the University and will do what it takes to see we are back on top. There always has to be that one ass that has to slur Snyder.
