Not going to call for anybody's job here. Do need to ask a question though and forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere. At what point do you thank the seniors for their 4/5 years of effort, sit them, and start getting the young guys ready? We need to find out who our QB of the future is and it would be nice to get 6 games under somebody's belt. Hate to do it- especially since QB play has been the least of our problems- but I think its time. Thoughts?

Nope, sorry. You reward your seniors for 4-5 years of hard work with playing time (if they give you the best chance to win). Especially at QB, BM has worked as hard as anyone and it shows. If you have any garbage time, you give it to Anderson and Beardain, then let them fight off the freshmen in the offseason and spring. The topic of your post says "seniors", but it should be "Bernie Morris"...I mean who else are you talking about? How many senior starters do we have, four, five? Are you going to sit Legursky? Shope? The DTs? nope, nope and nope.
-
In general you make the decisions to help you win now. The exception is to redshirt kids for whom it would be best for their career.
-
Let the seniors play, they earned the right. The NFL is looking at Legursky and maybe BM so this is their chance.
-
The above posts are correct. You play the seniors, not because they are seniors, but because they earned their playing time. Plus, if you sit anyone who earned their spot in favor of giving a younger guy experience you demoralize the team. Players have to know that their playing time is determined by who can give the team the best chance of winning. Look at the young guys coming up; Marshall is going to be good.
-
Besides that we most likely cannot play our quartback of the immediate future...he is not eligile to play as he is sitting out his transfer year.
There is no one left on our schedule we cannot beat. We are not in a great conference this year and for this year we should be grateful for that. The object of football games is to win them. You should play the players who give you the best chance of achieving that objective, IMO.

I'll admit that Bernie has improved, but Bernie being looked at by NFL teams? For what? FG holder? He is not an NFL type QB.

Bernie is very comparable to Curry and Gabriel.

Bernie is being looked at due to his measurables; height, weight, speed and arm strength. With that said, there is no way he will ever play QB in the NFL IMO. The game is way too fast for him.

I can't speak to the relative quickness of the game but I can see where a team like Atlanta (assuming Vick gets out of jail in a timely manner) or Tennessee would like quarterback with the ability to run as a backup so they don't have to completely change their offense if the #1 guy goes down. As he most certainly will for at least short periods of time.
