  • These two are not, however we are getting guards.    Being very selective at the guard position.

  • No, not one of these two.   These two are very closely related.

  • Don't you just "love it" when someone makes a post such as the original one in this thread? If one knows they are coming, what's the big deal about sharing it, once one knows it?

  •  Believe when it is announced...both on if it happens and also the quality of the recruits.  We need guards so if Corny is holding out for Kyrie Irving he better deliver.

  • I'm going to give him a chance to see who he signs. These 5 recruits will determine if I get season tickets this year.

  • With the addition of Rob Fulford, I'd expect us to start filling the roster spots up now that the staff is in place. It was a breath of fresh air to hear that Corny personally drove to Harrisonburg to meet with Horton from JMU. And it sounds like he is all in on NIL and utilizing the portal. Basically a 180 from Dan in those areas.

It's enough to earn my support to this point. Let's just hope he can coach.

  •  FWIW: I saw on Verbal Commits that we had offered Kameren Wright, a 6'4" shooting guard and he has committed to South Florida.

  • These two kids are transfers.   I wanted to give the kids courtesy of announcing it on their social media, before I put it on here.  I'm guessing we won't officially announce it until they sign their LOI.

What do you mean by very closely related? Like from same school? Family?

    Keep it coming man!

I know where you're coming from and appreciate the nuggets of info. I've heard stuff I'm not divulging, for obvious reasons, and the way you've done it is the way to go, imo.

    Go Herd!

if Horton is one of them, he was a 6th or 7th man as far as starts and minutes (22 mpg) played.  a little better stats than Conner's.

maybe he and Dawson are comfortable with CJ and vice versa but from a production/stats standpoint i'm not yet impressed

  • If we have 5 to give - we need 50-60ppg between the 5 players.  10-12ppg
We need to avg 78ppg or more to be competitive every night.

    We have 1 committed avg - 5-7ppg

Horton would be a good pock up. 2 time 3A South Carolina player of the year.

while there's nothing wrong with a good 6th man, i could care less what he did before JMU

I have no clue who the 2 commits referenced in this thread are. I did read that Corny wanted Horton at one point not long ago though, and made the drive to visit him.

He was playing behind Edward's and Bickerstaff. He would be an upgrade over what we have been getting for sure. I'll take him and Dawson all day "if" we get the good selective guards we need.

JMU was much better than us. Horton starts for us at the 3 imo, and will be a good player.

  • Horton would start and as a starter avg at least 10-12ppg
And he knows how to play multiple positions
    Versatility which we have lacked
