  • I hope the plan isn't like DD and wait for everyone else to finish building their rosters and take what's left.

  • Agree. As many as we supposedly contacted, I would hope he could reel some in, in the next few weeks.

  • Who is on the staff at this time as coaches, Corny; Cline and Williams? I saw the Kim UT video and it appears her husband is gone to Knoxville, but the current website still has  him listed as a member? Corny needs an assistant that can recruit now.

They had better get the staff organized and find some player ASAP. To be honest, we have the two bigs returning but there were not all conference material in the Dan era. I just hope Corny doesn't want the bigs shooting threes like Dan, that would be a recipe for a disaster.

Depends on how well they shoot.

  • my expectations are tempered but hopeful.  these same guys recruited under DD.  since it's hard to discern truth from fiction regarding what's been said about DD turning down some recruits brought to him in the past, i'll stay humble until i see otherwise.

under current NIL and transfer ncaa chaos, you have to meet or exceed your peers in recruiting every single year.  that can include HS players but selectiveness is paramount.  we know long-term expectations about player loyalty would be naive at best.

Last week was the final four which has a coaching conference that goes along with it.

We should start having visitors as soon as this weekend.

  • The one thing I trust Corny doing is getting better players. How his teaching and coaching on game day, nobody knows. But recruiting is no longer a worry for me. He will get what we need to play his style. He went want quick athletes that can shoot, create and also defend laterally. How he meshes the team and coaches them up is what I'll be watching. Until proven otherwise, I'm excited for Corny ball.

  • Actually I would like to see him bring Andy Taylor back for one season then put him on the coaching staff next year. He knows basketball and he has already seen he greenest grass is Marshall green.

I don't think Andy would be allowed back on campus.

And it has nothing to do with his transfer to Mississippi State or leaving the basketball program.

That ain't happening. And as someone else said, it has nothing to do with transferring to Miss St.
