[Doing it the Herd Way]

It is still super early. The portal is open for players to enter from 12/4 until the end of 1/2. So players will still be entering and available for us to consider and offer for some time after the portal closes. A decent to significant number of players will choose to enter after their bowl games which will be plentiful between now and 1/2.

The portal opens again 5/1 - 5/15/24, and players will continue to be added over the summer.

We are nowhere near finished with adding players.

That?s great to hear. We need some WRs and it?s a good sign to see their QB helping to recruit players here. Also a good sign that this WR believes in that QB enough to follow him here.

Like what we've done with WRs. We've brought in 4.

Two P5 guys who didn't get a ton of PT, one a big WR one more a slot guy with speed.

Then brought in 2 pretty productive G5 guys, one a big WR and the other a slot guy.

I like the mix of bringing in P5 cast offs looking for a chance to make a name as well as bringing in guys who have already shown the ability to be productive at our level.

Interesting that Chester WR from Tulsa is joining his follow teammate who was the QB Braxton at Tulsa to MU.

PSAC is a good D2 football conference and Cal is a really good D2 football program. This would be a good pickup for us.

Speed is speed.  It?s at every level.  I believe some of Herds problem has been lack of speed on the team.  Ali has run over 20mph.  Maybe fastest guy on team.  Harrison leads country in KR.  Has some speed.  These guys run 7.0 in 60m.  That?s not fast.  That?s 4.5-4.6.  Get to 6.9 low 4.4 for these guys.

Of course the highlights are always the best plays, but those passes are sweet. Nice TD run too. He is a big strong player.
