Rumor was that there were 2 additional recruits besides the player from Cincinnati who were ready to commit/sign.  Was wondering when these recruits will be reported signed by MU?

Also, how is the recruiting of "bigs" going.  With Mahogany gone, the tallest player on the team is 6'0" tall, and that's Meridith Meier.

There's a portal for baseball, too.  Need a pitcher?  Get a pitcher.  Done being patient.  Everyone else can get coaches that win right away.  We've done it with women's basketball.  Portal sports allow us to see who the bums are much faster than before.  Not saying Beals is, but after two seasons we need to see something.  We're in a top baseball league.

We should be hiring on a 2 year contract instead of 3-4 with an evaluation at that time for extension or dismissal.  Coaches can build an entire team out of two recruiting periods with no limit to number of scholarships that can be brought in (meaning we can recruit 85 players if we open 85 spots) and a portal full of hopefuls.  All the coach has to do these days is be able to evaluate and acquire players within the bounds of their recruiting and NIL budget and talent needs.  If they can not get talent within that budget then they need to do a song and dance to get increases.  That's the whole job of a coach in today's world.  If the coach is unable or unwilling to do those things then it's next man up.  Go deeper each time till we find the right guy and then get his butt promoted to a bigger school and repeat.  We need to start treating coaching like the carousel that it is and not like a deep grave where people can comfortably come stay till they die with no results.

We need to dangle the NIL carrot to get some EKU and Morehead players.

Mid week games are about irrelevant in the college baseball landscape

Same level of relevance they?ve always been imo.

They?re a good indicator of roster depth and apparently our cousins across the big sandy in the a sun apparently have more?. That sucks

We have went backwards under Beal. Waggoner had better teams. Waggoner even went to the conference finals a few years ago. I thought it was a crappy move to keep Waggoner all those years and then dump him right before the new stadium. He did a really good job playing without a home field.

Ben should absolutely be on the short list if Corny doesn't pan out. Assuming someone else hasn't taken him.

Don't know if CJ is going to be a good coach or not.  I do think he has one of the best names in all of coaching, so we've got that going for us.  If he turns out to be a keeper it'll be fun hearing the announcers calling out Corny Jackson when we do something good or when he's screaming at the refs or whatever.

Better than Danalytics, which might as well have been Dianetics, for all the good it did us without a single player that could run it for over 5 years.

Herd fans #1 problem. Unrealistic expectations. Quick turn arounds don't happen in baseball like other sports.

Beals started at rock bottom.  Be patient.

You have the highly touted FR who did not play last year but with losses to graduation and the portal it seems like there are about 6 schollies available if my math is correct. I would guess a couple will go to PG types and the rest will go to bigs??

seems like a solid choice.  maybe recruitng will come together better than expected.  next would be positive changes to how CJ apoproaches coaching (prioritizing time, technique, details).  i look forward to seeing the finished team
