  • Sept 16 3:30 Virginia @ Southern Mississippi
    Oct 1 8:00 Southern Mississippi @ UAB (Thursday)
    Oct 3 12:00 ECU @ Marshall
    Oct 17 3:30 Houston @ Tulane
    - 7:30 Miami @ UCF
    Oct 24 7:30 SMU @ Houston
    Nov 7 7:30 Houston @ Tulsa
    Nov 27 1:00 UCF @ UAB

    Houston = 3
    UAB =2
    Southern Miss = 2
    UCF = 2
    Marhsall = 1
    ECU = 1
    SMU = 1
    Tulane = 1
    Tulsa = 1

    Missing Rice, UTEP,Memphis --- UAB has more scheduled games than we do; this is really hard to swallow.

  • Gotta love cancelling out the CANES. What excitement that would have brought. How exciting to replace it with BG. Could someone please renogotiate a tv contract. I will gladly pay for Gameplan..No tv is beyond weak..Fans and alumni don't deserve this..

  • Last year there were people complaining that the schedule was too tuff, that we should play an easier schedule so we would have a better chance to play in a bowl game. Also, that we had no business playing in the state of Wisonsin. Never satisfied.....   The top-mid majors ( Fresno ST, Boise, TCU....) get there reputaion by playing there schedule, no matter who it is, anywhere anytime. This is what we need to do to regain past glories, or at least become relevant as a football program again.

    Nothing wrong with Illinois!!!!
     ;)

    Thought I would prefer U of Illinois or Northwestern, or even gimmie Northern Illinois!!!!

    These constant 1-AA teams are terrible.

    I believe this season what scheduled for Tenn to come to town.  2011 is when Miami was supposed to show.

    I think you are correct.

    Plus it would of been Miami AND Virginia Tech at home if Im not mistaken.

  • I THINK THE SCHEDULE IS GREAT, BUT THAT IS MY OPINION. BOISE PLAYS ONE DECENT BCS TEAM PER YEAR, BUT WHEN THEY GO UNDEFEATED, THEY ARE IN A BCS BOWL. BEING IN A BCS BOWL WILL GIVE A LOT MORE PUB THAN BEING 10-2 AND IN THE LIBERTY. JUST THE FACTS AGAIN.
    BOISE SCHEDULE
    BOISDATE OPPONENT W-L (CONF) RESULT

    10/01 Louisiana Tech 4-0 (1-0) W 38-3
    10/11 @ Southern Miss 5-0 (1-0) W 24-7
    10/17 Hawaii 6-0 (2-0) W 27-7
    10/24 @ San Jose State 7-0 (3-0) W 33-16

    11/22 @ Nevada 11-0 (7-0) W 41-34
    11/28 Fresno State 12-0 (8-0) W 61-10
    12/23 vs. No. 11 TCU

    9/27 Weber State 5-0 (2-0) W 37-21
    10/02 Oregon State 6-0 (2-0) W 31-28
    10/11 @ Wyoming 7-0 (3-0) W 40-7
    10/18 Colorado State 8-0 (4-0) W 49-16
    11/01 @ New Mexico 9-0 (5-0) W 13-10
    11/06 No. 12 TCU 10-0 (6-0) W 13-10

    11/22 No. 14 Brigham Young 12-0 (8-0) W 48-24

    BOTH OOC SCHEDULES ARE MUCH SOFTER THAN OURS, BUT THEIR PERCEPTION IS A LOT BETTER DO TO BCS APPEARANCES.
    if you want more oil at a cheaper price vote republican. if you want the same amount of oil in current supply at a higher price, vote democrat and for a windfall profit tax!

    Because they are actually competitive.  They dont think of it as just another practice before conf. play like our head coach does.

  • THEY ARE MORE COMPETITIVE BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE BIG GAME TO GET READY FOR INSTEAD OF HAVING 3-4 TOP 20 TEAMS.  IF MARSHALL HAD THOSE OOC SCHEDULES, THEN THEY COULD CONCENTRATE ON THE ONE DECENT TEAM THEY PLAY OUT OF CONFERENCE. IT IS INTERESTING THAT THE RESPONSES TO THIS THREAD HAS GONE STAGNANT SINCE POSTING THE SCHEDULES OF THE TWO BCS BUSTERS.

  • Bigwormy,

    The difference is the "BCS busters" can and do win their conference games.  Sure, we could schedule OOC cream puffs, but how are we supposed to bust the BCS by finishing 3-5 in conference??
