the only thing I can say is that I hope that we got a hold load of money from this TV deal...beacuse this level of coverage sucks league wide...I understand us...as we have been down for 4 years...but only one game for ECU and Tulsa...WTF??????
-
So Miss get UVA at home and UCF gets Miami at home....

We get....drumroll please......BOWLING GREEN!!!!!!!!!!

don't foget whatever the division formerly known as I-AA Illinois team we get this year...does the athletic department realize there are teams outside of teh stae of Illinois???
-
No we got Bowling Green over playing the Canes at home, the largest game ever to be played in huntington..cancelled by the Snide ;D
-
Gotta love cancelling out the CANES. What excitement that would have brought. How exciting to replace it with BG. Could someone please renogotiate a tv contract. I will gladly pay for Gameplan..No tv is beyond weak..Fans and alumni don't deserve this..

I thought the game was cancelled by Marcum?
-
Last year there were people complaining that the schedule was too tuff, that we should play an easier schedule so we would have a better chance to play in a bowl game. Also, that we had no business playing in the state of Wisonsin. Never satisfied..... The top-mid majors ( Fresno ST, Boise, TCU....) get there reputaion by playing there schedule, no matter who it is, anywhere anytime. This is what we need to do to regain past glories, or at least become relevant as a football program again.

Nothing wrong with Illinois!!!!
;)
Thought I would prefer U of Illinois or Northwestern, or even gimmie Northern Illinois!!!!
These constant 1-AA teams are terrible.

I believe this season what scheduled for Tenn to come to town. 2011 is when Miami was supposed to show.

I think you are correct.
Plus it would of been Miami AND Virginia Tech at home if Im not mistaken.
-
mu mike, that game cancel was to help snyder and you know he was all over it with kayo.

I THINK THE SCHEDULE IS GREAT, BUT THAT IS MY OPINION. BOISE PLAYS ONE DECENT BCS TEAM PER YEAR, BUT WHEN THEY GO UNDEFEATED, THEY ARE IN A BCS BOWL. BEING IN A BCS BOWL WILL GIVE A LOT MORE PUB THAN BEING 10-2 AND IN THE LIBERTY. JUST THE FACTS AGAIN.

BOTH OOC SCHEDULES ARE MUCH SOFTER THAN OURS, BUT THEIR PERCEPTION IS A LOT BETTER DO TO BCS APPEARANCES.

BOTH OOC SCHEDULES ARE MUCH SOFTER THAN OURS, BUT THEIR PERCEPTION IS A LOT BETTER DO TO BCS APPEARANCES.
Because they are actually competitive. They dont think of it as just another practice before conf. play like our head coach does.
-
THEY ARE MORE COMPETITIVE BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE BIG GAME TO GET READY FOR INSTEAD OF HAVING 3-4 TOP 20 TEAMS. IF MARSHALL HAD THOSE OOC SCHEDULES, THEN THEY COULD CONCENTRATE ON THE ONE DECENT TEAM THEY PLAY OUT OF CONFERENCE. IT IS INTERESTING THAT THE RESPONSES TO THIS THREAD HAS GONE STAGNANT SINCE POSTING THE SCHEDULES OF THE TWO BCS BUSTERS.
-
Bigwormy,
The difference is the "BCS busters" can and do win their conference games. Sure, we could schedule OOC cream puffs, but how are we supposed to bust the BCS by finishing 3-5 in conference??
