My synopsis:

They came out hot and we came out cold. They had one player that was like 80-90% from 3 for awhile and he had 21 points about 6 minutes into the game.

We kept crawling back all game and had 2-3 large runs where things got crazy

Their coach got ejected

We had to make a 2 point tip in from out of bounds with 0.4 seconds on the clock to send it to overtime. Then loop hit a long 2 (almost 3) at the buzzer in OT to win it

I listened on WMUL and was glad several folks posted video of buzzer beater shot on facebook and twitter. That was an exciting come from behind win. These kids got guts and balls. #304BOYZ

- Still down around 20 early in the 2nd half
- During a frantic comeback, their coach got his 2nd technical and was ejected. They also had a player score 40 points who fouled out.
- Took our first lead since 3-0 with 25 seconds left but immediately fouled 90 feet from the basket to let them take the lead back
- Down 2 on the final possession. Wild sequence under the basket somehow resulted in jump ball with 0.4 left
- Inbounds thrown above the basket tipped in by Kelly at the buzzer
- Elmore draws charge with game tied and 7 seconds left in OT
- Loop step-back game winner at the buzzer on the 3-point line

I was looking for "style points" this season. This year's squad has exceeded, by far, what I expected this season both in the exciting pace & space DD has installed AND in in-conference wins. The H-ton fans looked like they were at least as old as me, BUT THEY ROCKED on the stream I watched!!

The crowd was bananas when the team made their run and Doc Sadler got tossed, just an amazing evening and outcome!  Go HERD!

As gochneaur645 noted, HERD down 30-9.  With LESS THAN 8 MINUTES GONE in the first half, which put the Eagles on pace for something like 140-150 points for the game!!!  At half, their star, Jackson, doing his best Stef Curry imitation, had 25, or on pace for 50 for the game!  We made a couple of runs, but with around 10 minutes to go in the game they were maintaining a double digit lead, which they at times had pushed back out to the 14-16 point level.

After the emotion draining loss against LA Tech less than 48 hours earlier, team showed great resolve and fight to claw back, tie the game at the regulation buzzer and win at the end in ot.  Long time watcher of Herd b-ball, but can't remember two totally thrilling and emotional HERD games in such a short time span.

DD confirmed in that press conference that the extra tenth of a second made all the difference. With 0.3, you can't catch and shoot so he wouldn't have had the shooters in the corners to spread out the USM defense.

It was just barely enough time for Kelly to score in mid air with a lob. I've watched it numerous times, and the timing had to be perfect on the whole thing. An incredible play.
