Did anyone else notice the marshall fan right behind the goal posts waving like a mad man when Nick Smith was kicking the first field goal? Someone needs to inform him that...

#1 That's the last thing that Nick Smith needs

#2 That's what you do to the other team's kicker when he's kicking. Not your own.


He calmed down a little on the 2nd one to end the half, but the arms were still waving. A move like that makes you wonder if he thinks they were "kicking a homerun" or they were "shooting a goal".

Can't even use the term "questionable" on that clock management. Byrd got tackled with 1:10 left on the 30 and we had a timeout. We put birdsong in and ran two plays and put Litton back in with 10 seconds left. Pathetic.

Understand running Birdsong for the 3 & 2yds...then the Herd should've had him clock the ball to allow Litton back in.

It's (hopefully) OK, but clock management has been a challenge all 5 of Coach's seasons.

I gotta say that this game has not been the slop-fest that many bowl games are.

When we started the drive I was just hoping for points. Looks like coaches were being conservative and we're just wanting points.

doc is right.  what do you do against a time-of-possesion team?  you win TOP, stay to your conservative roots, eliminate possibility of turnovers.  then, the O might open up as clock tick-tocks and they get more desperate.  special teams is key, though.  lets get it done, no mistakes and enjoy...Herd!

Doc holliday is being not so smart. Wtf kind of gameplan is this? Litton is a hell of a QB and playing well and he takes him out on the most important play.

And whats worse, get in a situation where we should kick it (after your bonehead calls put us in that bad situation), they go for it. When they should go for it, they punt or kick it.
