  • Great discussion, thanks everyone.  Really appreciate the feedback.  As someone who has dined at noon and after in Huntington for the last 27 years, a morning meal is something I've not done but a couple times, and always in a hurry before.

Huntington has great food, options are evident to those who look into it; evidenced by the array of recommendations in this link.

  • I love Waffle House. I have been going to them for over 30 years

I don't know what it is about Waffle House, but the times I've went there they have had some pretty sexy flirty waitresses. There was one hot babe that worked there and the men were lined up to get her services including me, lol :)

  • Ya know Tudor's and Bob Evans are franchised chains but are also local.  Both franchises started in this area.

To bad Dwight's isn't open anymore.. The one on 8th st where the bank now sits was awesome! That restaurant would be jumping right now..

  • When?s the last time you saw Bob Evans or Tudors sponsor a kids little league team? Donate to a small local non profit? Sponsor a local music or food festival? Sure, they started ?local? but they indisputably haven?t done anything for these communities in a long time.

You're right.  They only donate millions to national charities now, which, last time I checked, kids around here get cancer, too.

I'll try to drive by and see if it's open sometime after 12pm.

  • I agree. I have been there a few times before a game or after a game before heading back to Lexington and never had a bad meal there. Had great service as well. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy the last time. And it was great. I wish we had a place like that here in Lexington.
Doodles is pretty good.  Have only had breakfast though.

  • With all the dining options we have, no one should go hungry around here, that's for sure. MU Cafe Saturday after the game, Calamity J Friday night.

  • Having a pre-tailgate Miller Lite with biscuits and gravy at Oscars.  I was afraid of the lines at Bob Evan?s. ;D

  • Had the Cajun Chicken Omelette at Oscar?s for breakfast this morning, so good and lots of black and Kelly green on the customers!
