  • Hate to say it, but had we actually played Boise (and Pitt) we would have most likely lost. Unless one of the new QBs (or Gaines) really stepped up and played great, I feel Doc would have went extremely conservative and tried to edge out a win via Nehlen ball.

  • Maybe the only positive result of the Covid pandemic, sports wise, will be that it winds up driving out and eliminating all advocates and vestiges of "Nehlen ball" from Marshall's football program!!

    Out-of-conference this year had 0-4 or at best 1-3 written all over it. A conference-only schedule is a gift of the ages to Doc. What would likely have been a very poor 5-7 season could very well wind up 5-3 and an extension.

    There will be no extension Doc is toast after this season.
