I am shocked!  First Vermont and now Bucknell...just imagine if they were to restrict access to the tourney with only BCS types.  March Madness wouldnt be nearly as exciting as it is.

No but some of the bigger schools probably wouldn't mind dropping it back down to 48. And restriting access to some of the lower conf. Something like a Super 6 or 7 Reg conf tourny +1.

I heard this a lot from Kentucky fans last year when UAB beat them. Of couse the poor idiot who put it up thought UAB was in the Patriot league and that would mean UAB wouldn't have been in the touney then. But tons of fans agreed with him. The elietist in Lexington thought by narrowing the field of upsets it would help them win more. I thought they were crazy myself. They thought the NIT should be for the lower conf.

It's my fault......

A woman in my office was tied with me in our office pool after day 1 at 14-2.  We compared our Friday picks and she had picked Bucknell.  I said something like 'Now I'm not worried......'.

Just a note of interest: the Bucknell play-by-play is a Marshall grad... Doug Birdsong, who got his start trolling the booths and hallways of WMUL.

Bill Cornwell and Doug are good friends... Bill was in Doug's wedding several years ago.
