It's halftime on the Marshall football season. With six games down, here's a look at the Thundering Herd's next six opponents:RICE, 3 P.M., SATURDAY, JOAN C. EDWARDS STADIUM.The Owls (2-3, 1-1 Conference USA) have had a season not unlike Marshall. They've faced three BCS teams -- Texas, Purdue, Baylor -- and have landed a win against one of them, a 24-22 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers on Sept. 10.Also like the Herd, Rice is having a tough time on offense, averaging 23.2 points per game (90th in the nation) and 314.2 yards per contest (107th).AT HOUSTON, 4:30 P.M., OCT. 22, ROBERTSON STADIUM.The Cougars (6-0, 2-0) became C-USA's first team to crack the Top 25 polls this season (25 in The Associated Pres rankings, 22 in the USA Today/Coaches) following a 56-3 dusting of East Carolina over the weekend. At this point, it just seems like a matter of when, not if, for star quarterback Case Keenum and his pursuit of the NCAA all-time passing yards title. The redshirt senior trails former Hawaii standout Timmy Chang by only 1,177 yards.
