  • i guess the important thing is, after deliberation he made the right call, but again to have to think about that??

i think any 12 yr old that plays PS3 or x box football makes that call immediately.  what good was the one at that point?

  • I was blown away when it appeared as if we were going to kick the XP. Everyone around me was confused as well. I'm glad we ultimately made the right call, but that timeout we wasted could have been valuable. I thought it was an absolute no-brainer to go for 2 and make it a 7 point game. Not sure what they were thinking.

  • Was it a matter of the coaches trying to decide whether to go for 2 or was it something else?  Like getting the right play called, ensuring everyone was one the same page, and/or getting the right players on the field?  Just asking.

  • I gotta assume it was to make sure everyone was on the same page,   the xp team could have just ran on the field without thinking....not like doc    help one figure up  than changed his mind....with the excitement form the score,  best to let the kids  settle down and talk about it....

Burn?  No we called a timeout then executed the play!

  • I think it was less about Doc and more about the rest of the staff.  Certain things have to be delegated and it appears the staff didn't have the players ready for the 2 point conversion.  That should have been set up when they crossed inside the 40, i.e. "When we score a TD, we're going for 2"
