Well if that is indeed the case. I would think next years lineup would look like this:

Pitts
Shaq
Kane
Whiteside
Baines?

We need another huy to fill the 4 spot who can shoot like Tyler
Need  PG to back up Pitts as well

I like it that Chuck intimates that Whiteside is staying, as he should. Whiteside has said he will stay. Hopefully he does not have a change of heart.

How about Steadman Short, 6-9 power forward in the 4 spot? That is why we signed him.

I just spent the past 15 minutes google searching DeAndre Kane and from everything that is said about him it looks like DJ snagged another special player.  I hope Whiteside comes back next year and can team with this kid because that would give us one incredible inside out game.

I hope you're right svherd. That would take a huge amount of character and balls to turn down a million dollars. Maybe an insurance company could offer a competitive insurance policy for him in case he injures himself next year so he could stay.
