  • Our success comes from Myrtle Beach (South Carolina) being the second home (for at least one week/year) for ALL West Virginians.

Everybody has gone to Myrtle Beach. . . West Virginia. :D

  • Take it from a West Virginia transplant in South Carolina, WE OWN THE PALMETTO STATE!  Of course the entire state owns the Redneck Rivierra known as Myrtle Beach.  Just about everyone I know down here graduated from one of the schools mentioned above.  Man, do I love giving them crap!
Chris Griffin: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter Griffin: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.

    WE OWN THE PALMETTO STATE!

Is the state named after the plant or the bug?

  • well you're not a West Virginian if you've never been to West Virginia Beach..errr Myrtle Beach.

Honestly I sat in a hot tub with two different couples/families who loved marshall university this summer.  they were from ohio--not necessarily in the tri-state area.  i also saw a girl with marshall shirts on near the pool and she was going to be a freshman at marshall but was from Virginia maybe?

  • Speaking of Myrtle Beach where I live, and my son is basically all over the state; I can honestly say Marshall University has greater respect here throughout the state than ECU.

    GO THUNDERINGHERD!
