    Larry Kueck assumed the uncertain title of interim head coach and immediately impacted the program with upbeat practices and a hands-on approach. Assistants maintained tunnel-vision while on the clock, making for a stable environment during an unstable time.

    "If you’re a professional football coach, this will be my 31st season, I think you can work through just about anything," Kueck said. "The one good thing about coaching is once you get out here on the field, whatever stress or questions you have, you lose that for a couple of hours.

    "Those kids will uplift you."
