  • With the other coaching changes in the Belt, the future for The Herd is the opposite of bright if Dan is kept around.

  • Seems like a good guy that paid his dues.  Happy for them, even though I can't stand them.

  • i certainly noticed that Byington has a cool demeanor.  what's even more impressive is so does JMU's woman's coach.
like or hate JMU, their approach to college athletics is very strong and their standards are set high across the whole AD.
didn't they win or come close to the SBC's Bubas (sic) Cup (most winning AD) in their first year in the SBC?

but forget JMU other than as pure motivation.  Marshall is getting there with recent, very strong HC hires but we have a long way to go and it starts with getting a men's basketball HC the program and AD, as a whole, can build on and continue to achieve high-standard goals.

"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

They're like WKU.  Always crawl out of the sewer smelling like roses.

  • Hate them. Arrogance. But they get it done and make great coaching hires. We need to hire their retiring AD as a consultant.
