According to Jon Rothstein Western Carolina's Justin Gray is finalizing a deal to be the next head coach at Coastal Carolina. With Mike Jones going to ODU the powers that be had better come up with an exit strategy for Dan are risks falling further behind in a conference that's up for grabs with the right hire.https://catamountsports.com/staff-directory/justin-gray/457
Gray's 3-yr Western HC career improved each year for a average at best, 51-46 record. so, is the glass half empty or half full? DD did roughly the same thing and is proven to be an avg coach. only time will tell on the newbies
No way Corny or any other assistant on Dans staff should he considered for the HC job after Dan retires. That would be total failure and atrocious hire. Jmo.I am sure he and the staff are good men. But just not right for this program.
