Terrible. We have to use a timeout with 2.8 seconds because we can't get the ball in 94-feet from the basket because we aren't athletic enough against simple man.

2019.  As soon as he realized he had no answer for the loss of Penava he should have fallen on his sword.  Because then he had no answer for loss of Elmore or Burkes. He hasn't had a point guard since.  Just a lot of moving guys into the position to try.  2019 Dan goes out a hero, having won the tournament the previous year and the CBI that year.  No one would say anything given the amount of talent that left over those two years.  They would have been disappointed he was leaving instead of praying for it.  The roster has been comically bad since then, minus a couple bright spots.  And I don't include Handlogton.   He really only dominated the USM game last year.  He had some very weak showings after that.  Couple points here and there.  I feel it more likely Dan would ruin him than make him better.  Probably would have given him a shot at point guard.

JMU is forcing our offense way out further from the basket. We don't have a point guard that can force the action closer to the basket.

On the other end, JMU has their PG drive the ball in and either kick out, keep driving or drive-and-dish.

We have to try some zone. Nutter came in and immediately lost track of his man on the inbounds. He can't do that. He did take a good charge.

My problem with this year's defense isn't not going to a zone, which teams that don't really have whatever zone imprinted from day one lose track on inbounds, is that the Herd doesn't really vary the type of man played.

Well then his return has zero to do with his performance.  Not the same at all.  Not sure what the point is other than they made a bad extension same as we're prone to doing.
