  • You can whine all you want but attendance and money is what we need.

To what end?  Do people just keep throwing time and money at the program with no return or even someone that knows how to make the necessary changes?  If the money was being used to make changes that would put out a better product then that would be fine and dandy, but it's not.  It's essentially being wasted.  Dan has gotten everything that he's asked for and his teams are still declining.  He wanted charters.  Check.  He wanted practice facility. Check. And so on and so on.  He doesn't even need NIL money.  He doesn't recruit anyone that anyone else would pay for.  I mean the current roster could be bought with a bus pass.  If he had NIL money, he'd give it to some hard luck case that can't play basketball but is a good kid.  These guys are getting free room and board and an education, the most secure players in America that will never be asked to move on, and the best seats in the house for every game.

When he shows one iota of a winning attitude or even that he cares to get better and get better players, especially at key positions at which we are woefully depleted, then no one will have a problem funding him.  He does not and people are tired of it.  The difference between now and the 60s football teams is they still cared and were still trying.  Every game mattered.  We don't have that.  By his own words, 30 games do NOT matter every season.  Only the tournament. Don't worry that people have to pay for and attend those 30 games that he doesn't give a @#$% about.  Well he's not winning the tournaments, either.  1 and done and 2 and done in the Sun Belt in 2 years.  What were we waiting for, again?

He's not capable of getting better.  He's too f-ing old.  He's too old-fashioned.  Reminds me of Adolph Rupp from "Glory Road."  Refusing to make changes or acknowledge other types of players can be just as good or better.  Only he doesn't have the pedigree of championships to blind him from the truth.  Just his ego.

  • Athletic programs that have money can afford to pay players, recruit players, and have better facilities.
