  • There are two I thought might have made second or third team-Kevon Voyles and Nate Martin. I thought Martin deserved it by averaging a double-double.

Agree, I think Martin deserved at least 3rd team. Feel bad for the kid.

The voting was done by the SBC coaches and it appears the other SBC coaches don't think much of Dan as a coach or his players. It is sharp difference between the respect for the Marshall WB program vs the Marshall MB by the SBC coaches. The people that know you the best are the most honest and Dan doesn't get any respect from his peers.

Dan didn't speak very highly of the SBC right before we joined. If I remember correctly he was the only person in Huntington that wanted to stay in CUSA.

  • A lot of you sound like that character "Louie", Humphrey Bogart's character's protagonist in the classic movie "Casablanca"!  You are "shocked", "shocked", that SBC opponents, among a lot of others, frankly", hold MU's basketball personnel, players, in such low regard!

You were just as tone deaf a decade ago as were the MU administration, i.e., President, AD, etc., and many of the "Stuck in the 50s" Huntington's "Movers and Shakers" who were beating the drums loudly back then to "bring Danny home"!  At the same time many national college basketball observers, pundits, etc., seriously questioned D'Antoni's credentials, ability to successfully recruit, etc.  Too bad so many of those same folks in H-Town and at MU were lax in their visits back then to their nearest Beltone store to get NEW and/or upgraded hearing aids!!
