We know who they are, that is no secret. I have said all along the decision on DD goes above Spears. Too, DD continually speaking about coaching next year may be his way setting the stage for a fight should they try and dismiss him. It could certainly get ugly.

Of course, he could be saying this, keeping things close to the vest, so to speak. I doubt that's it, but it could be a possibility.

Yeah, what I noticed last home game was Goran sitting out at the 3 point line shooting baskets during warmups before the game and at halftime.  This was team shootaround.
Just found that odd.

Been doing that the whole year. Nothing odd about it. Dan wants him shooting 3's.

He hasn't played in a game since February 3rd.  He's shot a total of TWO 3 pointers all year.  Dan has absolutely no idea what he wants this guy to do other than get a free education.

Didn't mean I agree with it. Just saying Dan wants his bigs shooting threes. Every game during warm-ups, he is constantly shooting threes.

Point is when you're team can't throw the ball into the ocean, it looks pretty damn dumb to have a guy in full warmups shooting any shots when obviously he isn't going to get in the game.....

Of the many many valid critciisms of DD, this is one of the lamest.  Having most or all of the team shooting during pregame warmups is traditional and means very little.

Having nearly half the team on scholarship with no intention of playing them, that matters.

Making no in game adjustments, is a big deal.

Having players that don't fit the system is inexcusable.

little or no pregame planning, unprofessional.

Players on the team shooting warmups, who cares?

I have bit my tongue for most of this year, but DD will be gone. I keep seeing people post he was given a three year extension. While this is semi-true its a misnomer. DD has no guaranteed money. There is an off ramp for both parties at the end of each season. So, Marshall could move in another direction and not owe DD a buyout. Further, if you have just paid attention to the season and the happenings of the year, it is easy to see DD will be stepping aside. Articles critiquing the administration, poopooing the double header, etc. Also him thanking everyone in the pre and postgame against App State. DD would not be doing these things if he intended to stay. He is now the oldest coach in the country and his age has been showing. This is the end of the DD era. We do not need to argue it or fret about it anymore.

He can't assess talent where everyone is talented.  Only when they're shooting in the middle of a cornfield somewhere with no one in their face can he for certain say that's the guy he needs.  I'm telling ya, he's remaking Hoosiers at the D1 level, but the world's all out of fairy tale endings.

The emperor of Marshall athletics, Julius D'Antoni, has now orchestrated for his career assistant coach to take over without looking at any options.

Take out Dan's wins over D2/NAIA teams, he has a career 53.3% winning percentage at Marshall. He has a 54% winning percentage in conference play and I might add, he always seemed to play in a conference that was continually weakening. So this allows Dan to dictate who his successor is? This is complete garbage.

I live in Maryland When Gary Williams retired from UMD, he had led Maryland to two Final Fours, a National Championship, conference titles, over 650+ wins, elected in college hall of fame.....and they didn't even sniff one of his assistants. This is just one example I could point to. What are people thinking? Does Dan walk on water or does he walk 3 feet above it?
