Well in Dan's pregame

Cotton asked him what the difference is between App State and Marshall and Dan's first response is they kept all their players we lost two of ours to the portal.

He mentioned if anyone goes to our practices we make a lot of shots and do not know why it isn't translating.

Mentioned that we have a passionate fan base and he isn't sure if the players are pressing because of having the pressure. He then went on to say he isn't blaming fans and wasn't sure if that was even the reason (why bring it up then?).

Then went on about the three seniors (Goran, Marko, and Curfman; didn't say anything about Obinna or Voyles so assume both are coming back?).

Goran is a good student and was the biggest fan for the soccer team during their national championship run and "beat that drum".

Marko, he had a rough upbringing, but he is leaving here as an engineer and will help out wherever he goes and decides to do with him degree.

Curfman is a shooter, and helped get to 24 wins last year the most in school history.

He also made an interesting comment which I don't recall him doing before and thanking people for this season and supporting.
Thanked his sister for helping raise money. Thanked Herdthat and raising money for the program.
Thanked the Scaggs for supporting and basketball practice facility. Thanked Marshall Reynolds for supporting the charter flights for the program.

First time I have watch MU or an SBC team. A couple of quick takeaways.

1. Neither team is very good. Three straight airballs by MU.
2. Marshall is slow overall and not athletic.
3. A lot of empty seats for the "sellout" game.
4. Volyes is a good player. Wasn't he Dan's doghouse in the early part of the season? I never understood Dan playing favorites.

Like I said, neither team is very talented so whoever hits their shots will win.

I wish we played like this all season.  Better defense and hustle for loose balls.  Crowd is very good and team has responded.

That was Cam Crawford. Keyvon has played and I believe started in every game this season.

I really think DD is tired and ready to step down. I think the thank yous were a closing for his last home game. I have no inside info but watching and listening to him this year he doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm and energy, which is very understandable at 77.

More energy on the defensive end. We need to sustain it. App plays good defense but their half-court offense has been sub-par so far.

It should be an interesting second half.

No matter what the stats say, this has to be one of the 3 or 4 WORSE MU shooting teams since I started following the team as a student in the 60's!!  Curfman now has missed 15 straight from 3-land!!  Others can't make lay-ups, mid-range jumpers, etc.  Bricks FLYING all over the CAM; maybe the administration should require "hard hats" in the arena in lieu of tarps!!  NOW HERD hitting a sizzling SEVENTEEN PERCENT, folks!
