  • It would allow him to have one final home game where he could be properly honored for the good times he had here.

And it would be against the best team in the conference on national TV. Might bring some positive energy for a game that's otherwise going to have absolutely none.

You have to recognize something is wrong and that you're the strongest contributing factor to walk away when you don't really want to.  He actually doesn't recognize his own accountability and weak contribution to the worst team in the last 15 years at MU.

  • Well, some advice for all those attending Saturday at the CAM:  If the HERD performs again anywhere close to what they performed TONIGHT, then all who truly care about the FUTURE of MU basketball need to "BOO LOUDLY and BOO OFTEN"!!  National TV be darned; MU Higher UPs need to get the Message "Loud and Clear" and that a very substantial portion of Fans and financial supporters, boosters, aren't going to take this incompetent and embarrassing brand of basketball much longer orchestrated and led by an in-over-his-head unqualified Head Coach who really had NO BUSINESS being in the Head Coaching Job in the FIRST PLACE!!  That's the BOTTOM LINE!!

  • Well anyone that shows up for that Appy St game is part of the problem. This is THE TIME to make a statement for the athletic dept and BOGs to see that the fanbase is not happy. If you want more of this same crap and worse then be there Saturday. This has to end!!!! Danny doesn't have Elmore and Andrew to bail him out anymore. Danny should thank Greg White daily because without Elmore, he would have been gone long ago.

  • From what I heard, Dan wants ONE more year to right the ship. He doesn't want to go out this way.

Oh well, his want isn't greater than Marshall need of moving forward from this train wreck (which he is the conductor of).

What's his plan, doing last year's schedule and getting 10 cupcake wins again and throw in Rio Grande over the holiday break and boasting about it.

  • What is he going to "right the ship" with?  Average or less that the departing talent may be when objectively evaluated, what has Danny already recruited for next season that can come close to replacing them?  Please don't try to say that in ONE season Danny will turn a walk-on like Pruett, and others of similar "talent" on the returning squad, into formidable and accomplished D-1 players in the 24-25 Season!!!  AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, FOLKS!!!

  • DD's incapable of turning this around.  he carries too much upperclass dead weight on the bench to have any kind of program at all.  you can't have a handful of JRs & SRs on your bench that everyone knows will never see the light of day in a competitive game.  i'm disgusted at the way DD has WASTED big green donations on the guys he's allowing to just hang out in the 1st row behind the bench every night KNOWING full-well their intentions are to transfer in the spring.  an absolute WASTE of donation $!  let old main cough up some $ for their free ride this year & they can sit in the student sec'n with the other 10 students...you can't be wasting athletic scholarship $ like that!

    DD is delusional or senile

    Or both

It's over and DD has no one but himself to blame

He could have built a program like he wanted to but he wouldn't get out of his own way

    It's over

Bags over the head would probably be more effective. A visual that the Administration can't ignore.

This. Empty seats and decreases in concession/merchandise sales helps send the message. Let leadership know this will continue next season if Danny is still here. The next layer is decreased/halted donations (to basketball) and a reduction in season ticket purchases.

One more year to do what?

Finish 6th in the conference and then lose in the conference tourney?

This is BS!!!  Next season he'll setup an OOO schedule that will guarantee X number of wins.  Then if the team wins say 20 games, he'll say that he deserves to come back for the final year of his contract.  Then after that contract is up, he'll ask for another 3-year deal and probably will get it because of his connections.  It's a never ending cycle.  The bottom line is that he's had losing seasons two out of the last three years.  The 24 win team missed out on the regular season title and then lost in the first round of the conference tournament.  He should have retired after that season.  Instead he let his ego get in the way and he strong armed his way into a 3-year extension.  People say we can't fire him because we'll piss off his family and lose their support.  If this is what D'Antoni support looks like, then Marshall is better off without it.

What schedule could he set up to guarantee 20 wins? lol

That may work on the High Schol level and explain how he lasted so long in SC.  This isn't HS and he has earned his ticket out the door.
