  • In addition to Big Jim and the BoG, I get the impression that DD is still very popular with the demographic that can write a 5 or 6 digit check without thinking twice. It probably includes the 7 digit crowd too but I don't personally know anyone like.

I just don't see him going anywhere. They'll probably pad out the out-of-conference schedule so he can get a couple more wins and can leave on a high note in the next few years. I wouldn't expect much more than that.

I'm honestly kind of surprised that his restaurant closed with how intertwined he is with everyone in the area.

  • Go Herd.  I'm not reading too much into these sort of comments.

I watch the Herd every chance I get.

  • How can you bring a coach back that is staring at 12-20?

. . . and after TEN YEARS at MU IS TREADING WATER to stay ABOVE .500 for his entire MU CAREER!!  TOTALLY PATHETIC!

Ohio State recently fired their head coach during the season.  In his 7th season, he had won over 60% of his games while there and had his team in the NCAA tourney in 21 and 22!  Apparently, OSU has some standards and legit goals for its men's basketball program.  At MU, not so much.  For Danny D., apparently, it is just to put ANY kind of team out on the floor, no matter how bumbling, bad and inept it may be!

  • I know everything I've seen this season has me preparing to watch the women play and ignore what the men come tournament time.  I've been following Herd bball since I was a student in the late 60s and early 70's.  Up until this year I followed men's bball and ignored the women's game, now I've totally reversed 50 years of following the Herd.

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Ditto for me and I never thought I would ever admit that!

  • I feel the same way.  I find myself excited to hear what Coach Caldwell has to say after each game.  She is in year 1 and will either win the conference or finish top 3.  Dan has not done that in a decade.

She and her team take accountability for their play.

  • Maybe he?s referring to the preparation of losing in the 1st round.

I agree with you. I look forward to the women?s games more than the men?s games every week.

Also she has be a team from a power conference already and did so in game number 7.

    Same.

Never thought that would happen to me either or that I would admit it and I?ve actually been to more women?s games in person this year than men?s.  Definitely didn?t think that would ever happen either as I used to rarely ever miss a men?s game now I just have no hope and really don?t care, it?s sad.

Same here. I was never into the women's game, but Kim brings such enthusiasm in her coaching and these gals play so hard, it's easy to get roped in and cheer them on.
