They went 4-1 over the weekend and are now 6-4. Not bad considering the competition. The combined records of the teams MU has lost to is 33-6. They play Drake, Arizona twice and Indiana this weekend and maybe another game I am forgetting. Then two big homestands that include Purdue, Notre Dame, and Butler.
The teams we have beat have a combined record of 7-19, but that is a little deceiving. After going 0-5 at FAU, Michigan State went 4-1 this past weekend defeating Depaul, and splitting with Boise State. Longwood is 3-8, but have played Alabama, Georgia Tech, Villanova, ECU, and Marshall. As has been mentioned before, it all comes down to pitching. Savannah has really good stuff, but is prone to make a mistake. I haven't seen Bub pitch but it appears she has improved, but based on ECU she is still not consistent, and the Freshmen will have to adjust to the much tighter college strike zone.
