When I attended Marshall from 1970 to 73 there was talk of Marshall needing a ballfield back then. It's been talked about and pushed aside so many times for so many years it is hard to believe it's finally happening. Long over due and more than about time.
Cheers!

When I went to Marshall in the early 90s the baseball team played all over the place. I never thought that I'd see an on campus baseball stadium in my lifetime. I really wanted to go today, but a bad case of sinusitis has me home. At least I'm getting to watch on ESPN+

I was there from 6/70 through 12/23, then some additional evening working on a masters that I never finished....great days. Great realization today as well.

I got called away from the TV. Last I saw was 2-0 starting the 7th. What was the final?

Had a dorm roommate in 63 who played baseball a few seasons for the HERD. Told me that Coach Cook told them (team) that school higher ups were working on a facility for the program and that, hopefully, a facility shouldn't be too far down the road!! Seemed that lack of available sufficient land was the big issue/problem (along with the usual issue which always cropped up when it came to real progress at MU, "funding")!
